What is MIDI to MP3?
A piece of music can be represented in two forms: musical notation or audio record. The difference between them is like the difference between a pie recipe and pie itself. Musical notation is an instruction saying how to play a particular piece, like a recipe contains instructions how to cook the pie. It can be stored in many forms; MIDI is the most popular among them. Audio record is like a pie - you can listen it, but if you want to know what it was cooked of you have to guess. There are many popular formats for audio recordings, including MP3, Wave, OGG and WMA.
WIDI Recognition System and WIDI AU/VST plug-ins "tastes" audio files and guess about recipe it was "cooked" i.e. reconstructs musical notation and allows to save it as MIDI file.
