Plogue Bidule is a new VST host with nice visual routing capabilities from Plogue Art et Technologie (www.plogue.com).
Step-by-step instructions:
1.
Start Plogue Bidule.
2.
Add "Audio Player" by clicking right mouse button on the workspace and choosing "Audio File"->"Player"->"2 channels".
3.
Add WIDI VST to the workspace by selecting "VST"->"WIDISOFT"->"WIDI Audio To MIDI VST" in the context menu.
4.
Add MIDI Output device with "MIDI Devices"->"Output" context menu item. Choose one of the output devices available. In Windows you can use "Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth(out)".
5.
Connect Audio File Player output channel (right or left channel, or both) to the WIDI Audio To MIDI VST input channel by dragging the connector. Connect WIDI VST MIDI Output port synthesizer's MIDI input port.
6.
Double-click on the Audio File Player and then load audio file you are going to recognize.
7.
Double-click at WIDI Audio To MIDI VST to show up the WIDI VST Plugin window.
You may also need to tune Recognition Parameters to achieve the best results.
You can also redirect MIDI output to a MIDI Out Device or even record MIDI events to a MIDI file with a built-in MIDI recorder. See routing MIDI for details.
